Lighthouse Point Park


Location: 5000 S. Atlantic Ave., Ponce Inlet

Hours:

  • February 10 through Daylight Savings Time start:  6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. 
  • Start of Daylight Savings Time through September 30:  6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • October 1 through November 30:  6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • December 1 through February 9:  6 a.m. to 6 p.m..

Admission:

  • $10 per vehicle
  • $20 annual inlet parks pass
  • Free for Handicapped and Disabled Veteran registered vehicles
  • Additional discounts available for Veterans, surviving spouses or children of first responders and Veterans whom died in the line of duty

Due to space constraints, Buses are not permitted in Smyrna Dunes Park or Lighthouse Point Park on weekends and holidays.

Busses are only permitted on weekdays with prior written approval from the Coastal Division.  Please submit your requests to recprocoastal@volusia.org

 The Jetty Connector is closed due to storm damage.  

Annual Passes are no longer sold at the park entrances.

The $20 Inlet Parks Annual Pass may be purchased online at parkvolusia.org or in person at one of two Park Volusia offices located at:

Alcohol is prohibited within the park under the Town of Ponce Inlet Ordinance Article VI Section 6.7.

Trailers are not permitted on weekends and holidays. The Coastal Division approves unsolicited/organized park activities through a Special Event Permit. There is a $25 application fee and the form can be submitted via email to RecProCoastal@volusia.org.

Pets are allowed on the inlet shore beach area and must be leashed at all times.  Pets are not allowed on elevated park boardwalks after 10 a.m. Pets are never allowed on the Atlantic Ocean beach.

Lighthouse Point Park is a 52-acre inlet park located along the northern shoreline of Ponce de Leon Inlet. The park has elevated wooden boardwalks and restrooms, along with picnic pavilions that are available for reservation. A nature trail in the forested area in the center of the park leads to a scenic observation tower overlooking the Halifax River. Special park features include an 800-foot jetty deck and dog-friendly swimming beach area along the park inlet shoreline. Park amenities are handicapped accessible and dog-friendly. The property is owned by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Volusia County manages the park under a lease it maintains with this state agency.

The Volusia County Marine Science Center is on Lighthouse Drive within the park and is a wonderful place to visit with a variety of aquariums and marine educational exhibits.

All Coastal and Inlet Parks are open 365 days a year.
